HOW TO PREPARE AND COOK (KAKANIN) we called this food in the NOrthern Luzon as “TUPIG”.
And honestly I don’t know how to call this in English… One thing I know it is rice that grind finely (flour) and then put it in a Bananas leaves where it stays until cooked.

The Banana Leaves..

In a mixing big bowl…
Have a shredded young coconut…

with cube cheese…

with brown sugar…
****

Then the rice that became a flour…

slightly mix all the ingredients and the
pour a coconut milk which serves as the water

after mixing this is how it looks like…
and ready to put it over on the banana leaves.

be sure to do it faster because if not then the
tendency is may over flow on the leaf…

that is the support over the hot man made oven (it is an underground pit) ..
